Santiago de Compostela: The city of "Santiago de Compostela" is where the cathedral is supposed to house the tomb of Santiago, coinciding with the year "Jacobeo"

The 25th of July is Santiago Apostol´s Holy Day and it is called Holy Jacobeo. When this Holy Day falls on a Sunday it is a very special celebration in Santiago and in Galicia in general. Fourteen “Jacobeo” saint´s years are supposed to be celebrated every century. In these years Catholics can obtain the “bulla” and to rejoice of jubilee year. To be able to do this, a set of requirements first have to be fulfilled, for many tourists it is a great challenge to come to the square where the cathedral is built and to try and obtain the “bulla”.
